Loris Pernoux is a French graphic designer and self-type-taught designer. His typographic work is characterised by an expressive approach to letter shapes, yet unusual and versatile. Loris also collaborates with brands and artists, involving the use of lettering design in various forms.

● END USER LICENSE AGREEMENT (EULA)

The terms and conditions set out below outline the agreement between you (“You”, “End User”, “Licensee”, ”Licence Holder”) and Loris Pernoux, based in Paris, France. By purchasing, downloading, installing, using or otherwise handling Loris Pernoux's fonts (“Fonts“), you accept compliance with these terms. If you do not accept the terms of this agreement, do not install the licensed Fonts.

What is not expressly mentioned in these terms is therefore not allowed. In case of doubt, please get in contact.

● BUYING A LICENCE MAKES YOU A LICENSED USER AND NOT THE OWNER

You are not purchasing the copyright to the design or any other elements of the Fonts, but only the rights to use them under specific conditions (outlined below), according to the licencing options you have contracted.

● PURCHASE AND LICENSE HOLDERS

The Licence Holder is the person/company whose legal name is clearly indicated in the "Licensee" field at the time of purchase. The person who pays for the licence is not necessarily the Licensee, and therefore does not automatically have the rights to use the Fonts. Please refer to the case studies below.

1. If You buy a license for your own use (company, design studio, freelancer, student, etc), the license must be stated in your legal name or in your business' legal name.

2. If You are paying for a license for a third party and You are not the End User, the name of the stated Licensee must correspond to the End User, and thus to the Licence Holder.

● WHAT YOU CAN DO

A Desktop license grants You the right to install Fonts locally on 3 computers within a single company/organisation, unless specified otherwise in your order.

A desktop licence grants You the right to use the Fonts for any type of static and digital imagery (such as posters, books, billboards, signs, social media, web banners – and moving pictures such as YouTube videos, movie titles). If You want to use the Fonts online, You have to purchase a Web licence.

The Web license grants You the right to use the Fonts for a single domain with up to 10k visitors/month, unless specified otherwise in your order. Should the number of visitors increase, You are required to update your license. You can only use the WOFF and WOFF2 Fonts files that are provided by Loris Pernoux (not desktop Fonts like OTF). If You want to use the Fonts for print, You have to purchase a Desktop licence.

Trial Fonts are free to download and allows You to try the Fonts in your designs before purchasing a Desktop or Web license. Trial Fonts are made for non-commercial testing purposes only. If You choose to use the Fonts in the final project, You must purchase an approrpiate Desktop / Web license.

When embedded in production files, a copy of OTF Fonts files may be shared with printing companies in the scope of a defined project. The printing company must delete the Fonts files after production. A copy of WOFF and WOFF2 Fonts files may be shared to a web developer, in the scope of a defined project, only in order to implement the font software into the website. The web developer must delete the Fonts files after implement.

● WHAT YOU MUST DO

For licensing involving Brand Mark/Logotype, Merchandising, Streaming/TV/Cinema, Advertising Campaigns, or Non-Profit use, You must get in contact directly.

The purchase of Fonts is for the number of user licensed for. Make sure the number of licence users matches the number of users who will use the Fonts at the end. These users must work for the same organisation within the same location. Please contact Loris Pernoux if You need an extension to your licence.

Licensee must ensure that the Fonts cannot be extracted from any document they produce with the Fonts.

The Licensee is committed to protecting against the identification and copying of the WOFF and WOFF2 Fonts files installed on website(s). They will implement the optimum conditions for this protection to be effective.

If You already have a font licence and the clients you work for also need to use the same Fonts for their own purposes (in-house use, website, etc), they must acquire their own appropriate licence.

The Licence Holder is responsible for checking that all restrictions and extensions to the licence are communicated internally (company, legal entity, organisation, etc). For example, if You are limited to three licences, make sure that the licence is extended if more users are needed.

The Licence Holder is committed to protecting transmitted files against copying. He will have advised those who have access to the files that they are prohibited from copying, transmitting or using them for themselves or others, whether it is for fee based work or not.

● WHAT YOU CAN'T DO

✖ You are not entitled to use the Fonts in a political, religious, pornographic and arms or nuclear related context.

✖ Fonts are prohibited in any situation that promotes inequality, discrimination, violence, or abuse.

✖ You are not entitled to modify the design of the Fonts in any way or form (distortions included) without the prior written consent of Loris Pernoux. Please, get in contact.

✖ You are not entitled to sell, lease, lend, sub-licence, assign or transfer any rights, duties, Fonts files or obligations to a client or any other third-party user.

✖ You are not entitled to install and use Fonts in a final project without purchasing an appropriate licence.

✖ You are not entitled to convert the Fonts files to different formats.

✖ You are not entitled to modify, reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble Fonts.

✖ You are not entitled to use the original Fonts software files to create a derivative or modified product or design, including creating characters for alphabets and languages not covered by the typeface or designing a custom version of the typeface.

✖ You are not entitled to embed the Fonts in softwares.

✖ You are not entitled to put the Fonts on public servers.

✖ You are not entitled to change, modify or remove credits and copyrights contained in the Fonts and the accompanying Fonts documents.

✖ You are not entitled to use the Fonts within a mobile or desktop app, game, eBook, HTML advertising, HTML pop-ups, device displays (such as entertainment products, household appliances, digital POS, dashboards) or similar specific situations.

✖ You are not entitled to design, sell, distribute and produce merchandising without the prior written consent of Loris Pernoux.

● DISCLAIMER, WARRANTY, TERRITORIALITY

Loris Pernoux provide Fonts on an “as-is” basis and ensures the correct operation of the Fonts. In no circumstance what-so-ever does Loris Pernoux take responsibility for damage caused to a End User’s hardware, software or a loss of income that may have occurred as a result. All Fonts installed is done so at the owner’s risk and Loris Pernoux will not be held responsible.

The Licensee can not request a refund based on the argument that they will no longer make use of the typefaces, Loris Pernoux does not give refunds, all sales are final, unless proven that the files are defective.

The Licensee expressly agrees that this contract shall be drawn up, submitted and interpreted in accordance with French law as it applies to contracts drawn up on its soil. Any dispute concerning this contract will be brought before the court.

The Licensee acknowledges that he has read and understood the terms of this agreement and that by purchasing, downloading, installing, using Loris Pernoux's Fonts he agrees to be bound by these terms and conditions. No variation in the terms of this contract shall apply in the absence of an endorsement or written authorization signed by Loris Pernoux.

● TERMINATION

Failure to comply with one or more conditions of the license constitutes a breach of this agreement and results in the immediate termination of the license with no refunds possible. In addition to any legal recourse, You'll need to pay for any costs Loris Pernoux incurs, like legal fees, investigation costs, and legal settlements. You accepts that You are responsible for compliance with all foreign laws, export control or technology transfers.

After termination, You must stop using the Fonts, destroy all copies, in part and in whole, including backup or archival copies on external medias (e.g. a backup external hard drive).

● HOW DOES IT WORKS?

The STORE page of the Website is not an online shop, but a contact form sent by e-mail to Loris Pernoux with the details you have provided.

You can group as many Fonts as you wish in one purchase, but you cannot purchase Fonts at the same time as you submit an order for Products, they are two separate things.

● ORDERING

To place an order, simply add the "Products" to your order by clicking on them, and then fill in the required information fields. To validate your order, click on "Submit order". No payment process will be proposed to you, but you will receive an answer by email from Loris Pernoux who will validate your order in the following days. You will be able to proceed to the payment via Paypal or bank transfer.

● PRICES

The prices of the products presented on the Website are indicated in euros (€), all taxes included. The price of shipping costs is calculated according to the geographical zone you have chosen as your destination.

Depending on your geographical area, customs duties, other local taxes, import duties or state taxes may be payable. These duties and sums are not the responsibility of Loris Pernoux. They will be at your expense and are the exclusive responsibility of Loris Pernoux, both in terms of declarations and payments to the competent authorities and organisations in your country.

Loris Pernoux reserves the right to modify its prices at any time, but products will be invoiced on the basis of the prices in force at the time of order registration, subject to availability.

● AVAILABILITY and DELIVERY

You will be informed by email if any of the products are unavailable after placing your order.

The "Products" sold by Loris Pernoux on the STORE page are available for sale while stocks last.

The products are delivered to the delivery address you indicated during the ordering process. Deliveries are usually processed within 2 to 14 working days. Once your order has been handed over to the French postal services, the delivery times in force in the said country and in the countries to which your order will be sent are not under the control of Loris Pernoux.

Loris Pernoux reminds the consumer that he/she must ensure that he/she has provided all the information required for the delivery of his/her order.

● VALIDATION and PAYMENT

Once the order has been confirmed by the customer and validated by Loris Pernoux, the customer has the choice between the following two methods of payment to pay for the order:

1. PAYPAL (credit card)

2. Bank transfer

In the case of a payment via Paypal, the customer must send the total amount (€) to the following address: contact@lorispernoux.fr.

In the case of a payment by bank transfer, the bank details will be indicated on the invoice that will have been sent to the customer by e-mail.

You declare that you have read and accepted these general terms and conditions of sale before placing your order. The sending of your order therefore implies acceptance of these General Terms and Conditions of Sale.

In the absence of proof to the contrary, the data recorded by Loris Pernoux constitutes proof of all transactions between Loris Pernoux and its customers.

● WARRANTIES and LIABILITIES

In accordance with French law, you have 7 days to retract your order. Provided that the product is in perfect condition, you may return the item(s) to Loris Pernoux (get in contact by email). The return postage costs remain at the customer's expense.

Loris Pernoux undertakes not to divulge to third parties the information you provide. This information is confidential. It will only be used to process your order and to reinforce and personalise communication (see PRIVACY POLICY).

● DISPUTES

Loris Pernoux reserves the right to cancel or refuse any order from a customer with whom there is any complication or dispute relating to the payment of a previous order.

In the event of a dispute, the French courts shall have sole jurisdiction.

● HOW DOES IT WORKS?

Loris Pernoux recognizes and respects the privacy of its data subjects, such as its customers (“You”). By using the website, You are confirming that you have read, understand and agree with the Notice.

Loris Pernoux reserves the right to modify and update the Notice occasionally. You are encouraged to review the Notice whenever you visit the Website to make sure that you understand how Personal Data are processed.

● PERSONAL DATA

While using the Website, it may ask You to provide Loris Pernoux with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify You. Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to: Email address, First name and last name, Address, State, Province, ZIP/Postal code, City, Usage Data.

Loris Pernoux processes Personal Data for the management of the business relationship with Loris Pernoux’s customers (including billing and licensing collection); security and programming purposes; and Compliance with legal and regulatory requirements applicable to Loris Pernoux. When the consent of the data subject is obtained, Loris Pernoux may process Personal Data for further purposes, e.g. for the sending of its newsletter or for any other communication related to Loris Pernoux such as announcements of new products, and special offers. Consent can be withdrawn at any time without justification by sending an email to contact@lorispernoux.fr All emails and newsletters from Loris Pernoux feature unsubscribe links in the footer. However, the withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.  Furthermore, Loris Pernoux will not feature third party advertisements of any kind on the website, and will not send marketing communications on behalf of third parties. 

Loris Pernoux collects Personal Data provided by its Data Subjects, specifically to purchase a font license, obtain a quote, request a trial font, or join Loris Pernoux mailing list (e.g. first and last names, postal addresses, email addresses). If you choose to purchase Loris products from Loris Pernoux on its website, credit card information is sent directly to the card processor, and is not stored or retained by Loris Pernoux.


Loris Pernoux will retain Your Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy to achieve the purposes mentioned above or until the Data Subject withdraws its consent.

● LINKS TO OTHER WEBSITES

Loris Pernoux’s website may contain links to other websites that are not operated by Loris Pernoux. If You click on a third party link, You will be directed to that third party's site. Loris Pernoux have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies or practices of any third party sites or services.
